I'm a marketer that ships.
I spent the first five years of my career in capital markets, covering corporate banking, fixed income trading, and commodities. I completed a Master of Finance at Queen's University during this stretch and was on the fast track in the corporate world.
But while working corporate, I had a burning desire to be on the side that makes things. Growing up, I'd always been stronger on the creative side. I came up in the arts and music scene, and in 2019 I was keen to explore a role that combined my interests in creative, storytelling, technology, and finance.
So I left the hedge fund I was working at and pivoted into my first marketing role at a tech startup. I learned a lot but got laid off, so I started a brand agency. I onboarded five clients over three years, and eventually took a full-time role as head of marketing at an AI infrastructure company. Along the way I stayed close to the creator economy and co-founded Denpa (formerly Dreambooth) with Lukas Chmiel.
My background in corporate banking and the pivot into marketing and tech has given me the skin in the game and the range to operate end to end.
